Hello hiren,

I am a young man from Ukraine and going to apply for HSMP in a few weeks and in fact I work in IT. I strongly believe that the situation will change in the second part of 2009 and therefore the UK economy will be under rise again. Althought I must admit that for me it all does seem very scarry as for now. The fact that makes me go ahead and not to refuse to apply is that I have enough money to be unemployed in UK for some time and I don’t have the family to support. In my opinion even if worse comes to to the worst I will get valuable experience of living and doing some casual job in UK. At the same time for the money that I have already spent and I am going to spend for HSMP I could have bought some cheap car in my country which I haven’t had yet:). As for me, sometimes You have to risk if you want to be successfull.

Thanks for useful information

Hello,
I have got my Tier-1 visa in feb 09. I am currently employed in India, I am planning to resign from my current job and go to UK and then search. I asked my consultant and he said most of the people do this. Taking the recession into consideration i am quite reluctant to quit my current job. Can anyone tell me hows the market going on. I googled my area of expertise and surprisingly I saw job openings. but i cannot blindly rely on them. I checked some forums mentioning that May or June would be the better season for IT jobs. I am planning to come in May. Please guide me on this. One of my friend did same and surprisingly he got job in 3 weeks. I don’t want to waste any time here in India waiting for recession to shed…still i need experts suggestion…thanks in advance.

Hi,

I got my Tier 1 visa in march. I am working as a software engineer in Bangaore. It is my dream to work in UK.I was planning to come UK this year but my friends in UK suggested me not to come this year due to recession. I got to know from my frineds every month one need 40-50k to surrvive in UK.

So i planned to find jobs in india with UK onsite opportunity and simaltaneously apply for jobs in UK through websites. I also tried to find any consultancy in india which can find placements for me. I did not find any.

Please if any of you know any placement consultancy either in india or UK, please let me know. You can send the details at prakhyat.mm@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Hi
As far as I know UK agencies or companies will not contact people who are applying from outside the UK.
And it is recession in UK and very few jobs, therefore please discuss with your friends and do some research on Internet from UK news and government websites about JOB market in UK. And make your decision accordingly.
Wish you a good luck.
